PEIS Middleware

PEIS Ecology ("Ecology of Physically Embedded Intelligent Systems") is a research project that started 2004 at the Center for Applied Autonomous Sensor Systems of Orebro University, Sweden. Several European FP7 projects have built on the infrastructure provided by this project and some of the softwares developed within the original PEIS Ecology project have there been extended and further maintained.

The core component of the middleware, called PEIS Kernel, are available as open-source at GitHub together with a set of related software modules:

This git repository is a public release of the latest state of the PEIS Kernel, as well as many of the software modues developed within these projects. Although not all the modules are actively maintained, and many depend on a specific hardware setup, this software is released in the hope of beeing useful to other researchers or hobyists.

Apart from where otherwise noted the softwares within these archives is released under the GNU GENERAL PUBLIC LICENSE Version 2 (GPLv2).
